Well- it's been forever since I've blogged but some really big stuff has been happening lately and I feel like I need to write it down so I don't forget it! I'm sure that no one reads this blog but me anyway, so here goes:
Aidan read his first word this week! I mean he knows on and off and no but those are probably just by sight BUT he literally sounded out RUN! He read it all by hisself! We are so amazed and excited to see that he is really learning so much and able to apply it! We are having to work on his silliness and loudness though . . .so tough. He has been doing so well with his swimming. I am so proud of him! He loved the beach, the ocean and waves so much! I enjoyed getting to partake in his new experiences of life: the waves and sailing! He didn't want to go in the water in the past years but this year he was gung-ho! He got to go on Parrain's sailboat and boy did he love it! Aidan weighed 36.5 lbs yesterday and was 41 inches tall. That's 50th and 75th percentiles respectfully. Long and Lean, the doctor says! He will get his 4 yrs old shots the same day Andrew gets his 4 mo old shots. That will be a day to remember I'm sure. Ryan has already been informed that he must be present for that lovely experience!
Andrew had his 3 month check-up yesterday (it was late b/c we were at the beach when he actually turned 3 months!). He weighed about 14 lbs and was 24 inches long! He is in the 50th percentile for both height and weight. He has recently discovered his hands and that he can use them to do things! We put him in his new exersaucer that Grammy bought him and within minutes he was able to figure out how to move things! Within one week he learned how to push the big buttons that make animal noises! This truly amazes me. He also is able to recognize us and genuinely smiles when he sees us! He is so giggly and sweet! A little flirt who babbles and coos! I can't get enough I tell you! He is sleeping through the night now and life is just great!
Ryan and I are hanging in there! Boy- life sure is a lot of work these days but I am just so thankful that I am able to do the work, and that I have my boys that give me the best job in the world.
